Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these terms. Keep your account credentials secure, provide accurate information, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Choose The Run is a game and training aid

Choose The Run uses GPS and server rules to calculate activity results, story progress, rankings, and game state. GPS, maps, health platforms, and network services can be inaccurate or unavailable. Choose The Run is not a medical device, emergency service, navigation service, or substitute for professional health advice.

Pay attention to traffic, terrain, weather, property boundaries, and local rules. Audio stories and coaching play while you run — keep the volume at a level where you can hear your surroundings. Do not enter restricted or unsafe places to gain a game advantage. Stop an activity when continuing would be unsafe.

Fair play

Do not falsify routes, impersonate another person, automate gameplay, exploit defects, evade activity validation, interfere with another player, or attempt unauthorized access. Choose The Run may hold, reject, or correct activity results when its validation or review rules require it. Game rules and displayed results may change to correct errors, prevent abuse, or keep a competition fair.

Your content and conduct

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Choose The Run a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve Choose The Run and to honor the visibility choices you make in the product.

You must have the rights to content you upload. Do not submit illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, privacy-invading, deceptive, infringing, or malicious content. We may remove content or restrict accounts to protect users, rights holders, or the service.

The Community and Child Safety Standards form part of these terms whenever you post content or interact with another person through Choose The Run.

Races, organizers, and prizes

User-created races, challenges, and teams are managed by their organizers and captains under the controls shown in Choose The Run. An organizer offering a prize is responsible for accurate eligibility, official rules, fulfillment, taxes, and legal compliance unless Choose The Run expressly states in writing that it is the prize provider. Review all displayed terms before joining. Choose The Run does not guarantee an organizer's prize or performance.

Service availability and changes

We may maintain, update, suspend, or discontinue features. We work to protect completed offline recordings, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation or that every device, platform, map, health source, or third-party service will always be available.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Choose The Run and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, security threats, fraud, legal requirements, or conduct that harms Choose The Run or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Choose The Run is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that it will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Choose The Run is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service.
