Delete your Choose The Run account

You can request deletion of your Choose The Run account and associated data even if you no longer have the app installed. There is no charge.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Choose The Run while signed in.
  2. Open ME, use the settings control, and scroll to Account.
  3. Choose Delete account and read what will be removed or retained.
  4. Turn on the acknowledgement, choose Delete my account, and confirm.

The app completes the deletion only after the server confirms it. If the request fails, you stay signed in and can try again or contact support.

If you cannot use the app

  1. Email support@choosetherun.com from the email address on your Choose The Run account.
  2. Use the subject “Delete my Choose The Run account.”
  3. Include your Choose The Run username. Never send your password.
  4. Follow the ownership-verification instructions in our reply. If you cannot access the account email, explain that in the request.

We will acknowledge the request, explain the verification steps and expected processing timeline, and send a final status to the verified contact address. An email request is not complete until you receive that confirmation.

What is deleted

A verified request asks us to delete or de-identify account credentials and identifiers, profile details, optional phone-discovery information, avatars, device push tokens, preferences, follow relationships, private membership data, and content that can be removed without compromising another user's account or a finalized shared result. The signed-in app performs this workflow directly; support handles the fallback request when you cannot use the app.

What may be retained

Shared gameplay and finalized competition records may be de-identified instead of erased so other participants' scores, settlements, and prize records remain consistent. We may retain narrowly necessary fraud, security, transaction, or legal records for as long as the applicable obligation or dispute requires. The confirmation will identify any category retained for your request and the applicable reason or retention period.

Before you request deletion

Account deletion is permanent. Export or save anything you want to keep and allow pending offline runs to synchronize first. Deleting the app from a phone does not delete the Choose The Run account.
